World Anti-Doping Code (WADC) Framework
What is the WADC Framework?
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is an international organisation funded by worldwide governments and the international sport movement to set the rules and framework for anti-doping across sport worldwide.
These are contained within the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC).
What does the World Anti-Doping Code do?
The World Anti-Doping Code ensures that athletes in all sports are treated the same in terms of their rights and responsibilities, the rules that they must adhere to and the consequences if they break the rules.
World Rugby is a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code, which requires rugby to incorporate the requirements of the Code into its rules and procedures.
World Rugby is subject to compliance auditing by WADA, which ensures that the high standards of its anti-doping programme are maintained.
