Form guide

Uruguay's men followed up their Olympic qualification in 2023 by performing heroics in 2024. They finished top of the pile in the second-tier World Rugby Sevens Challenger and with their last win of the season secured promotion to SVNS 2025 at the Grand Final in Madrid.

Star dust

Sevens commentator and reporter Rob Vickerman says: "Dr Diego Ardao may be a medical professional in 'real life' but he is also the heartbeat of the Uruguay rugby sevens team, involved in almost everything that this team creates."

Road to Paris 2024

Los Teros Sevens qualified for their first Olympic Games by winning the Sudamerica Rugby regional sevens championship in June 2023, beating Chile 12-5 in a tough final in Montevideo.
