Kenya's men competed in the World Rugby Sevens Challenger 2024, where the top four-ranked teams across all the events secured an opportunity to compete in the promotion and relegation play-off competition at the SVNS Grand Final in Madrid. Kenya's men finished second. They went to Madrid in confident mood and were convincing 33-15 winners against Germany to book their place back on the main SVNS series for 2025.Â

Road to Paris 2024
Kenya overcame pre-tournament favourites South Africa 17-12 to win the Rugby Africa Men’s Sevens 2023 in Harare in September and become the ninth men’s team to confirm their participation at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Kenya's men's and women's teams both qualified to compete at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 (played in 2021) and finished bottom of their pools in both without a win.Â
