Portugal’s Rafael Simões will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee in Paris after he was cited for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.13 (dangerous tackle) in Portugal’s Rugby World Cup 2023 Pool C match against Wales in Nice on Saturday, 16 September. The hearing will take place on Tuesday, 19 September.
The independent Disciplinary Committee that will hear the matter will be chaired by Jean-Noël Couraud (France), joined by former coach Frank Hadden (Scotland) and former player Leon Lloyd (England).
