Two and a half years ahead of Rugby World Cup France 2023, enthusiasm from both French and international fans is evident.

Following a presale period in March for the members of the “2023 Family”, the first phase of the general public ticket sale was launched on 6 April. Fans connected in large numbers to the official ticketing platform to obtain ‘City’ and ‘Follow my Team’ packs and a new record was set with up to 4,000 tickets being sold per minute.

In total, the 350,000 tickets available were sold within five hours.

For fans who were not able to obtain tickets, the France 2023 organising committee informs that new products and tickets for the knockout phases will be made available to the general public in autumn 2021.

Fans are reminded that Official Travel products, which include match tickets, are available through the Official Travel Agencies listed on the platform travel2023.rugbyworldcup.com

We also remind fans that tickets being advertised on non-official platforms will be made void. An official resale platform will be launched during the first trimester of 2022 by the organising committee to allow individual ticket holders to sell on any tickets they do not wish to keep.

Claude Atcher, CEO France 2023 said: “These 350,000 tickets that sold in record time confirms the global interest for this Rugby World Cup. Whether it be the products offered or our pricing policy, we feel we met the expectations of both French and international fans.”
