The coaches of all 16 national sides have declared their final squads for the Emirates Airline Glasgow Sevens, round 8 of the HSBC Sevens World Series.

With the Rugby World Cup Sevens now less than two months away, there is a settled look to most of the squads. Only seven nations name debutants at this level, one of them Wales test scrum-half, Tavis Knoyle.

Two of the five most prolific try-scorers in the history of IRB Sevens rugby are also recalled to action for the European climax to the season. Former IRB Sevens Player of the Year Mikaele Pesamino (158 tries) returns for Samoa, while Collins Injera (155) lines up for Kenya.

Argentina - Francisco Merello and Diego Palma are among the players to return and bolster the Pumas Sevens.

Australia - Captain Ed Jenkins is still short of match fitness and does not make the side but Allan Fa'alava'au is back as play maker.

Canada - Look to be at full strength with Chauncey O'Toole, Phil Mack and Conor Trainor all back in the squad for Glasgow.

England - Tom Mitchell's recovery from injury is a major boost for England as they look to impress ahead of the Marriott London Sevens next week. England are also the side with the most Series tournaments between them - their 239 event appearances making them the most experienced team in the competition.

Fiji - Setefano Cakau returns to captain the side and Joji Raqamate also returns to a team that includes no Series debutants - a rarity for the Fijians this season - but there is also no Osea Kolinisau, their match-winner in Hong Kong.

France - The return of Terry Bouhraoua at scrum half is a major plus for the French, who will, though, have to do without Vincent Deniau. In his absence Manoel Dall Igna will captain the side.

Kenya - Coach Mike Friday welcomes back Collins Injera to the side which will again be captained by the impressive Andrew Amonde. Dennis Ombachi misses this trip but giant wing Willie Ambaka is there.

New Zealand - Coach Gordon Tietjens hands out one Series debut to Pita Ahki and is boosted by the return of fit-again Tomasi Cama and Kurt Baker. DJ Forbes' injury means he stays back home, so the team will be captained by Tim Mikkelson.

Portugal - With Frederico Oliveira not making this trip Pedro 'popcorn' Leal captains the Lobos, while Tomas Appleton is handed a Series debut.

Russia - In a sure sign of intent ahead of next week's play-offs in London, and also in the lead-up to hosting the RWC Sevens, World Cup wing/full back Vasily Artemyev is recalled from Northampton Saints and takes his place in a strong Russian line-up.

Samoa - Faamoni Lalomilo is without the injured Paul Perez but recalls dual rocket firepower out wide with Tom Iosefo returning from injury and the prolific Mikaele Pesamino recalled for the first time this season.

Scotland - A giant weekend for the Scots as they look to cling onto World Series core team status and test cap Lee Jones comes into the squad. Scott Riddell's return in the forwards is also a boost for coach Stephen Gemmell.

South Africa - Paul Delport returns to the fray but how will they do without both Branco du Preez and Cecil Afrika? W J Strydom is given his first outing on the World Series.

Spain - Tiki Inchausti's men are certain to be in the core team play-off next week in London and, sensibly, they have chosen to rest a number of their key players, notably captain Pablo Feijoo. Carlos Blanco captains the side this week, which features six of the 14 World Series debutants on show in Glasgow.

USA - Alex Magleby has named a strong, settled side for Glasgow as they look to out-perform Scotland and retain core team status this weekend. Blaine Scully's recall is a giant plus.

Wales - Cory Allen and Alex Webber are both out injured, but Rhys Shellard makes a welcome return and scrum half test cap Tavis Knoyle makes his World Series debut. Owen B Williams returns for the first time this season, while Chris Knight and Adam Warren also make their Series debuts.
