Skilled Park on the Gold Coast is set to light up in mid-October when Gold Coast Sevens – Fever Pitch returns to one of Australia’s most vibrant cities.
The Australian Rugby Union has announced that tickets will be frozen at 2011 prices, despite the fact that the tournament is moving from Friday-Saturday to Saturday-Sunday.
“I am pleased to be able to confirm that the cost of a ticket to this world class international event will be frozen at last year’s prices," said ARU Managing Director and CEO, John O’Neill.
“We wanted to reward those who came last year and provide even more people with an incentive to come along and enjoy the excitement of Rugby Sevens this year.
“When tickets go on sale later in the year I am confident that our decision to freeze ticket prices will encourage more people to get along and enjoy both days of this fantastic event.”
The tournament will take place on 13-14 October 2012, and will again be the opening round of the 2012/13 HSBC Sevens World Series.
The IRB will announce dates of the entire 2012/13 HSBC Sevens World Series in due course.
