Thousands of miles away from the seismic rugby events happening in Rio, Namibia confirmed their number one status in the Africa Cup Division 1A with a 60-22 victory against Zimbabwe on home soil at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium in Windhoek.
The win means that the impressive Welwitschias end the 2016 campaign with three wins from three. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, finish bottom having lost all three of their matches and been relegated to Division 1B for 2017.
The two sides' respective World Rugby Rankings of 20 and 36 remain unchanged.
The comfortable victory completes a satisfying season for the Namibians after they also claimed third place in the World Rugby Nations Cup.
