Fantasy Rugby7Stars 2019 - Game rules

GAME ENTRY

Entry to the game is free at rugby7stars.com. Register via your Facebook or Twitter accounts, or by providing your email address and creating a password.

There are two live Fantasy Games: one played alongside the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series; the other played alongside the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. The scoring of fantasy points in each game is independent, and prizes are awarded for each Fantasy Game as well as an overall combined total.

HOW TO PLAY

The aim of the game is to score as many fantasy points as you can, climb the leaderboard, win prizes and beat your friends.

Your fantasy point-scoring potential can be increased by making up to SEVEN live substitutes per tournament.

FANTASY GAME

Only the players selected by you to be in your Men’s Team and Women’s Team can score you fantasy points. If you have a player selected in either of your Teams at the time when they score a try, for example, you’ll be awarded 5 fantasy points.

WHEN DO I NEED TO SUBMIT MY FANTASY RUGBY7STARS TEAM BY?

The deadline for submitting your Fantasy Rugby7Stars team in advance of each Round is defined by the countdown clock on the Sevens Series website. When the clock reaches 00:00:00 this signifies the kick off time of the first day of each tournament. If a team is submitted or a player changed after the kick off of each tournament then the submission will be classified as a live substitution.

LIVE SUBSTITUTIONS

To maximise your squad’s fantasy points-scoring ability, you can make up to SEVEN substitutions during each tournament.

FANTASY SCORING

MANAGING PLAYERS

Rugby7Stars contains every registered player from the 15 core teams featuring in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2019, and the 11 core teams featuring in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Women’s Sevens Series 2019. It will also include any new players added to Squads throughout the Series.

PRIZES

A total of 19 prizes will be awarded in the promotion with One Overall Winner Prize at the end of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, one Overall Winner Prize at the end of the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series and One Overall Winner Prize for the combined scores at the conclusion of both Series. In additional there will be a winner at the end of Rounds 1-10 for the Men’s Series and Rounds 1-6 in the Women’s Series, throughout 2019

The Rugby7Stars Overall Winner Prize for the top combined score from the Men’s and Women’s Series:

The winner will be presented with the Rugby7Stars 2019 Winners Trophy along with a personalised signed shirt from a Sevens Series team of their choice and a goodie bag of Sponsors’ merchandise.

The first-placed Rugby7Stars Overall Winner Prize for the Men’s Series:

Winners will receive a ‘money can’t buy’ signed shirt from a Sevens Series team of their choice.

The first-placed Rugby7Stars Overall Winner Prize for the Women’s Series:

Winners will receive a ‘money can’t buy’ signed shirt from a Sevens Series team of their choice.

The first-placed Rugby7Stars Round Winner’s Prize:

At the end of a Round, the top-placed participant on that particular Rugby7Stars Round Leaderboard (e.g. DUBAI 7S MEN) will receive HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Ambassador-signed merchandise.

In the case of a tie between 2 or more players, the winner(s) will be randomly selected.
