Background
The leader or leadership group in a club or association have a critical role in the growth or the organisation. They are expected to have a range of skills which include:
- The experience and knowledge to develop an achievable plan for moving forward.
- The ability to engage a volunteer workforce with the skills required to develop the organisation.
- To be able to develop a working culture within the organisation in which the volunteer workforce all work together to achieve a common goal.
- Being a skilled communicator for internal communication with volunteers and members as well as being able to project the club’s image to the community.
