Namibia’s Desiderius Sethie will appear before an independent Judicial Committee having received a red card, following a review by the Foul Play Review Official, in Namibia’s Rugby World Cup 2023 Pool A match against Uruguay in Lyon on Wednesday, 27 September, for an offence contrary to Law 9.13 (dangerous tackle). The timing of the hearing will be confirmed following Namibia’s return from the tournament.
The independent Judicial Committee that will hear the matter will be chaired by Jennifer Donovan (Ireland), joined by former player Stefan Terblanche (South Africa) and former referee Val Toma (Romania).
