As excitement builds for the start of WXV 3 later this month, Kenya, Fiji, Spain, Ireland, Colombia and Kazakhstan have all named their 30-player squads for the tournament.

WXV 3 will get underway in Dubai on 13 October, when Fiji take on Colombia at The Sevens Stadium.

The Ireland squad contains seven uncapped players, while Colombia coach Lisette Martínez has underlined the importance of the competition to the game in her country.

“It is a great learning opportunity for the players, the staff and the entire organisation,” Martínez said as she announced the Colombia squad.

Kenya

Lionesses coach Pau Murunga has confirmed the make-up of the Kenya squad for WXV 3.

Flanker Enid Ouma will captain the team in Dubai, having taken on the responsibility for the first time in last month's defeat to South Africa in Cape Town.

Fiji

Fijiana 15s head coach Inoke Male has included five uncapped players in the squad that will compete in the third level of WXV at The Sevens Stadium.

Penina Turova, Mary Kanace, Iva Sauira, Una Lalabalavu and Loraini Senivutu will have the opportunity to make their test debuts in Dubai over the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Fijiana Drua captain Bitila Tawake will make her return to rugby following a short break.

Head coach Juan González has named three uncapped players in his squad for the inaugural WXV 3 tournament.

Sevens international Tecla Masoko and front-row Mireia de Andrés were both included in the original squad, while Beatriz Rivera was added following the withdrawal of Olivia Fresneda due to injury.

The three players could make their Spain debuts at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

Forward Karina Sazontova will captain Kazakhstan at WXV 3 in Dubai.

Prop Yelena Yurova, who scored two tries in the Asia Rugby Women's Championship 2023 win against Hong Kong China that ultimately confirmed Kazakhstan's place in WXV, has also been included.

Head coach Scott Bemand has named seven uncapped players in his squad to travel to Dubai for WXV 3.

Clara Barrett, Ruth Campbell, Megan Collis, Eimear Corri, Sarah Delaney, Katie Whelan and Fiona Tuite are the players who have an opportunity to make their test debut over the coming weeks.

Deirbhile Nic a Bháird misses out, having picked up an injury during a training match.

Bemand said: “Since joining the programme a month ago, there has been a significant amount of work gone in to enabling this group of players to perform on the world stage.

“The playing group has been brilliant, embracing a new culture and training identity that will lay the foundations for future success. We know what we’re going after and I’m excited to see them bring it to life in WXV.”

Tucanes coach Martínez has confirmed the identity of the 30 players who will represent Colombia in Dubai.

She said: “Participation in this tournament is important, thinking in the short and long-term about being a South American power in women's 15s. It is also very important for our path to qualifying for Rugby World Cup 2025.

“We hope to do our best and bring great learnings for the region.”
