Accreditation - RWC 2025
Media accreditation for Rugby World Cup 2025 is now open.
Non-rights holding media (i.e. written and online press, photographers and non-rights holding TV and radio broadcasters) can apply here.
Any rights holding broadcasters seeking accreditation should contact Sarah Lunn, World Rugby Broadcast Services Manager (sarah.lunn@worldrugby.org).
Media accreditation is required to attend tournament activities whether in match venues, team bases or other official sites. This includes training sessions, vision opportunities and media briefings.
An additional access pass is required to attend venues on match days - accreditation alone will not grant access. For more information on match day access please see the notes below.
The deadline to apply is midnight (British Summer Time) on 15 May 2025.
Completing the form
When applying for accreditation, you’ll first be asked to create a profile. This is to allow you to return at a later date to manage match requests so please ensure you set up a password.
As part of your application, you’ll need to do to the following:
- Agree to the media accreditation terms and conditions and the tournament news access rules (download both below)
- Provide details of your identity document (ie: passport , UK driving licence, national identity card)
- Upload a passport style photo in either JPEG, JPG, PNG formats, no larger than 5MB in size
- Indicate where you would like to collect accreditation. Note that accreditation centres are located at each match venue and will open venue approximately eight days prior to the first match in that city.
- Make your requests to attend pool stage matches. Knock out match requests will be taken at the conclusion of the pool stage.
Requesting match day access
This is managed through the accreditation portal. You can submit requests at the same time as accreditation, or you can come back to your account later to make or adjust existing requests. All match requests must be submitted by 15 May.
Please note that match requests are only reviewed after the deadline for accreditation has passed. You will find out first if you have been accredited, and if successful, your match allocations will be published in your accreditation account in June.
